This year I met my musical hero, Claudio Sanchez.  I graduated from high school with a 95 GPA, got into one of the most competitive colleges in the nation and moved to New York City.  I let go of many people who dragged me down from home and allowed myself to put everything I had into college.  I went through a horrible summer, endured more health problems than ever, and spoke at my graduation.  I went to Lollapalooza and remembered what it was like to laugh again and to see bands I loved.  This year I was able to see Coheed again, as well as The Arctic Monkeys, Two Door Cinema Club, The Kooks, The Joy Formidable, Young the Giant and so many more.  I set goals and I met them.  I survived my first semester at college.  I opened up a little more and made some fantastic friends, all of whom I miss.

I am happy to now call New York my home and to put Croton in its place: the past.
