girls calling other girls whores and sluts and what not
don’t you see that we are not the problem, that it’s men that have fabricated those meaningless words and ideas that we cling to, that wielding them to put down…
those words (and the stigma’s that come with them) only exist because men have put those pressures and expectations on women. the only reason women even feel the need to tear each other down for no reason is because they feel insecure. and yet people wonder where the pressure to be flawless comes from, even though that’s men as well (who do you think controls every image you see in the media?). the use of those words and the continual posting of thinspo (which really bothers me) only furthers an agenda being dictated to women, instead of thinking about the meanings of self image and language for yourself.
